Avoo Motors' Advanced Diagnostic Machine covers hybrid and EV-specific system codes. As Uganda's corporate fleet begins its gradual shift toward electrified vehicles, our diagnostic capability is already positioned to support Toyota hybrid variants, plug-in hybrid SUVs, and early EV fleet entrants.
High-voltage system fault scanning
HV battery management system (BMS) fault codes, inverter and converter faults, motor control errors. Identifies HV isolation failures and cell imbalance conditions.
Regenerative braking system check
Tests regenerative braking engagement, energy recovery efficiency, and hybrid braking system coordination between friction and regen modes.
Hybrid battery state-of-health assessment
Cell voltage balance testing, temperature sensor verification, and state-of-charge (SOC) calibration. Provides fleet manager with battery health percentage and estimated remaining service life.
ICE + motor interaction diagnostics
Tests the handoff between combustion engine and electric motor in parallel hybrid systems — confirms seamless mode-switching under different load and speed conditions.
Safety Protocol — HV Systems
All HV system diagnostics follow strict lockout/tagout procedures. Workshop staff handling HV components wear certified insulated gloves and face protection. No HV system work is undertaken without confirmed HV isolation.
